It is ideal for developers committed to inclusive design, high-quality front-end coding, and innovative solutions. \n Accountabilities: Your main responsibilities include: Develop and maintain accessible data visualization tools using React, Raphael JS, and SVG that comply with WCAG standards. Write clean, semantic, and accessible front-end code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. Implement automated and manual accessibility testing to identify and resolve issues in visualization tools. Collaborate with designers, UX experts, and back-end teams to ensure tools are visually appealing, functional, and accessible. Maintain comprehensive documentation for accessibility practices and guidelines. Stay updated with the latest accessibility standards, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve tool accessibility. Requirements: Successful candidates should have: 3+ years of professional front-end development experience, preferably with a focus on data visualization or complex interactive tools. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. Experience with Raphael JS and SVG for creating dynamic visualizations. Strong understanding of WCAG standards and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications). Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, Wave, and Lighthouse. Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in user research and usability testing for data visualization. Familiarity with additional data visualization libraries and frameworks.
