We’re looking for a Front‑End UI Engineer who brings strong software engineering practices to beautiful, accessible user interfaces. You’ll work collaboratively to build scalable, resilient front‑end solutions that genuinely improve how Australians interact with financial services. Design, engineer, and deliver high‑quality front‑end solutions using modern software engineering practices, ensuring performance, scalability, maintainability, and an exceptional user experience. Responsibilities: Design & Delivery Design and build modern, responsive web applications using strong software engineering principles Translate UI/UX designs into polished, accessible, and high‑performance user interfaces Build reusable, well‑tested components within a shared design system and component library Apply clean code practices, thoughtful architecture, and performance‑first thinking Collaborate closely with UX, Product, and Engineering to deliver cohesive, production‑ready solutions Integrate front‑end applications with APIs and back‑end services Embrace visual regression testing and automated testing to ensure confidence in change Use AI tools thoughtfully to design, build, test, and improve front‑end solutions Analytics & Innovation Implement digital experience analytics to support insight‑driven decisions Champion consistent adoption of the design system across platforms Stay curious about emerging technologies and bring pragmatic innovation to the team System Support & Quality Support application monitoring and issue resolution when required Contribute to clear documentation, shared standards, and knowledge bases Participate in occasional after‑hours support to maintain service continuity Collaboration & People Partner closely with UX designers to bridge design and engineering seamlessly Work openly with cross‑functional teams, fostering shared ownership and quality outcomes Contribute to mentoring, learning initiatives, and engineering community practices Lead by example, supporting continuous improvement in engineering standards Requirements: Experience & Skills 5+ years’ experience as a Front‑End / Software Engineer Expert proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS Strong experience building UI components (Web Components / Lit preferred) Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (clean code, modularity, testability) Experience with responsive design, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines Automated testing experience (unit, integration, and visual regression) Experience with analytics implementation and data‑driven development Financial services or large‑scale platform experience is a bonus Experienced in using AI tools as part of everyday software quality practices, with a keen interest in engineering, testing, and evolving AI‑enabled solutions that enhance quality, insight, and operational efficiency The Recruitment Process Acknowledgement email once your application has been submitted.
