Description Position Overview: As the first point of contact for guests, Front Gate Team Members at Typhoon Texas play a crucial role in delivering outstanding Texas-friendly service and ensuring a seamless entry experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests with a warm "Howdy," performing bag checks, selling tickets and processing season passes, operating ticket scanners, and assisting with general inquiries. By upholding Texas-friendly service and park standards, Front Gate Team Members ensure every guest has a Good-Clean-Fun time at Typhoon Texas! Position Responsibilities: Provide outstanding customer service. Warmly greet each guest with a “Howdy” and embody a Texas-friendly attitude. Drive sales initiatives by upselling targeted products to enhance the guest experience. Answer any guest inquiries when applicable and escalate concerns or complaints to a supervisor or coordinator when necessary. Operate the point-of-sale system (POS) and accurately process payments in an honest, organized, and efficient manner, adhering to Typhoon Texas procedures. Check guests’ belongings for prohibited items and enforce the bag check policy and other security measures. Operate a ticket scanner to scan season passes and tickets in accordance with established procedures. Staff the exit gate and ensure guests who plan to return the same day receive a hand stamp. Track and log counts of all guests who leave for the day and those who plan to return at designated intervals. Staff the stanchion areas as directed and politely enforce Typhoon Texas policies with guests. Ensure the parking lot is free of trash before opening. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the aisles, countertops, displays, and storage areas. Inform guests of waterpark policies in a courteous and professional manner as needed. Monitor the front gate area for security breaches or suspicious activity and report to leadership. Proactively identify operational or equipment issues and collaborate with a supervisor to resolve them. Follow all Pyek Group and Typhoon Texas policies and procedures. Embody Typhoon Texas’s moment making keys of intentionality, Texas-friendliness, safety, cleanliness, and fun throughout all departments. Assist with other responsibilities, roles, departments, or park locations as assigned. Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. May be required to lift 25–50 lbs. May be required to work in various weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain. Must be able to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to communicate in a positive and professional manner and work well with others.
