The Kilcunda Ocean View Hotel is seeking a full-time Duty Manager to join our team in this hands-on leadership role, based in the picturesque town of Kilcunda, Victoria.
The Duty Manager will work directly with the owners to help manage the day-to-day operations of the venue and guide the business forward.
Experience in a similar management role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
Rosters include a mix of days & nights, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Proficiency in hotel operations and food & beverage management.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team and lead by example.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and the ability to provide a positive guest experience.
• Sound financial management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Passion for hospitality, including developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clientele.
• Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be self-motivated, trustworthy, responsible & reliable.
• Hold current RSA.
• POS experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Overseeing daily venue operations, including opening and closing.

• Supervising a tight-knit team of hospitality staff, providing leadership, training and support.
• Managing financial responsibilities including daily reconciliation, inventory control and cash handling.
• Undertaking staff rostering and other ad-hoc administrative duties.
• Implementing marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Identifying and actioning opportunities for business growth and improvement.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and providing a friendly and welcoming environment.
