Montana’s BBQ & Bar in Nanaimo is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Restaurant Supervisor to lead our Front of House team. If you excel at motivating a team, ensuring flawless service, and fostering a fun, welcoming atmosphere, we want you to help us serve up Canada’s best BBQ!

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE (QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Required: 1+ years of experience in a leadership role (Supervisor, Team Lead, Key Holder) within a restaurant, hospitality, or retail environment.
  • Required: A genuine passion for leadership and a demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
  • Required: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Required: Ability to reliably commute to our Nanaimo, BC location.
  • Required: Must have a valid Serving It Right (SIR) certification.
  • Required: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Lead & Inspire: Guide, coach, and motivate the FOH team, providing ongoing feedback and support to help them succeed and grow.
  • Champion the Guest Experience: Act as the leader on the floor, engaging with guests, resolving any concerns professionally, and ensuring Montana’s high standards of hospitality are always met.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily shift operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and brand policies.
  • Train & Develop Talent: Play a key role in training new team members on our menu, steps of service, and vibrant restaurant culture.
  • Manage Floor Operations: Assist with labour management, inventory control for bar and service supplies, and drive sales by empowering the team to deliver outstanding service.
