JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to enhance the overall dining experience for our customers.

• Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred, with knowledge of food handling practices.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information between kitchen staff and servers.

• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and presentation standards.
• Basic cashiering skills, including experience with POS systems is a plus.

• Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of meals.
• Monitor the progress of meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards before they are served.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order modifications, special requests, and any potential delays.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area, ensuring that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with meal preparation as needed, including assembling dishes and garnishing plates for presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from guests promptly and professionally.
• Operate the POS system for order entry and payment processing as required.
