FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER

We are Sushi Wawa! Perth busiest and most loved Japanese style conveyer belt restaurant. Renowned for our amazingly fresh sushi, a wide selection of Japanese street food, traditional curries, ultra-fresh sashimi, and an energetic lineup of Japanese cocktails and tap beers, we create a vibrant, fast-paced atmosphere—all centred around our fully open kitchen.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

First and foremost, you are a great leader & charismatic people person. You can inspire your teams and have compassion for them and customers alike. You’re known for your abilities to plan, organise and multi-task and stay calm and confident under pressure.
You’ll be supporting the Venue Manager in ensuring the smooth flow of operations. Leading by example, you’ll be a hands-on manager, ensuring attention to detail is evident throughout the venue, from operational processes, atmosphere, guest service, through to our food and beverage offering.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Leading and supervising our FOH team so they know our values and standards.
  • Create a working environment that attracts talented staff, then develop & retain the staff to ensure a successful team.
  • You will recruit and train staff. Your positive attitude towards training will create a team that understands the importance of great customer service.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of and follow our policies and processes.
  • Rostering to meet KPI’s.
  • Dealing with customer feedback in a professional manner
  • Suggest ways to improve efficiency in our operations.
  • Follow daily/shift procedures and ensure restaurant environment remains clean and to standard.
  • Stock ordering, receiving & rotation.
  • Train your senior staff how to adapt to slow & busy periods, using their initiative to delegate tasks during these times.
  • You will deal directly with the Venue Manager, Head Chef & Owner, contributing towards the growth of the business through your suggestions.
  • Monitor standards of food being served to customers & report to kitchen if not to standard.
  • Respond to customers on email & social media
