Palmer’s Ale House & Kitchen is craft pub in Long Sutton, we focus on providing a welcoming enviroment with stellar customer service. We use only the best in local producers - from beer & spirits, to farm fresh cream for our own ice creams!
We’re looking for a new server to join our front of house team!
Do you know the difference between a mild and a stout? Can you tell your Merlot from your Malbec? Are you calm under pressure while carrying hot plates? If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for someone with great people skills, who loves talking with new people & making customers feel at home. Experience in the food & drink industry is a plus, but not necessary as we do provide full training. However, knowledge of different beers & spirits is a great benefit. The role is full time with a regular rota that includes a mix of evening, weekend and day time shifts. We offer £12.60 an hour, a great working environment and some seriously funny co-workers.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience of hospitality or the food & drink industry
• Be friendly, personable and confident talking to both to customers & coworkers
• Be detail oriented
• Have a great working memory
• Have previous experience with EPOS tills
• Be proactive - particularly in relation to cleanliness in line with food & hygiene regulations
• Be confident talking on a number of topics
• Have experience working in cellars with cask ale
• Live locally and able to drive

We are a family run business with a real focus on quality locally sourced food & drink. We are open 7 days a week serving food made on site, and beers from independent breweries. We believe pubs should be a welcoming place for anyone so we strive to have a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks, as well as vegan and vegetarian options on our menus.
