SUMMARY

We are expanding our front-of-house team and are looking for a confident, friendly, and professional Hotel Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our hotel. This is a key customer-facing role focused on delivering excellent guest experiences from the moment people walk through the door to the moment they leave.
While your primary responsibility will be working on the Hotel Reception, you may occasionally be required to provide cover on our Health Club Reception as part of the wider reception team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Basic computer skills for managing bookings and inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a Hotel Receptionist at Burntwood Court, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a smooth and welcoming guests. You’ll play a vital part in the guest journey – from handling check-ins and check-outs to managing bookings, answering queries, and providing local information with a warm and professional attitude.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Welcoming guests on arrival and handling check-in/check-out processes
  • Managing room bookings, cancellations, and amendments using our reservation system
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries efficiently and helpfully
  • Providing guests with information about hotel facilities, dining, and local attractions
  • Taking payments and issuing receipts in accordance with company procedures
  • Coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest needs are met
  • Maintaining the appearance and organisation of the reception area
  • Occasionally providing support on the Health Club Reception, as required
