Job Introduction
Front of House Café Team Members required at Gallery of Modern Art One and Paolozzi’s Kitchen, The Gallery of Modern Art Two, Edinburgh. Are you energetic, passionate about all things foodie and enjoy a customer facing role? We are looking for new full or part time team members. The role requires flexibility and will include weekend and occasional evening work. Previous experience of working in a fast paced cafe environment is a must for this role and training will be provided. This is a highly interactive role - applicants must have an excellent command of both written and spoken English. We want our customers to receive the best customer service great - Our emphasis is on great food, served with a smile!

Main Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests, taking orders and serving beverages to guests
• Serving guests in a friendly, welcoming and efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Help answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices and related items

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Great barista skills – but training can be provided
• Cash handling experience
• Commitment & passion to deliver the highest standards of customer service
• Heaps of energy, positivity & enthusiasm, ability to work under pressure
• Fantastic communication skills both orally and written
• A high standard of personal presentation.
