The Ferry House is a 4-star pub, 2 AA Rosette restaurant, and wedding venue, with accommodation for 70+ guests. From April 2026, we’ll be focusing exclusively on weddings and events, providing a unique opportunity for growth and development.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for an organised, charismatic Supervisor to lead our team during daily service. This hands-on role will give you full responsibility for the team during service hours, where you’ll lead by example, motivating and inspiring the team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards.
You will be a key player in creating memorable experiences, whether it’s for a wedding, dinner service, or a wake. As a supervisor, your primary goal is to support your team in delivering excellent service, doing whatever it takes to ensure our guests have an unforgettable experience.

Average working week -

  • Monday & Tuesday evenings (5:30 pm – finish)
  • Friday (10 am – finish)
  • Saturday (10 am – 6 pm)
  • Monday, Thursday & Sundays off (This is subject to business needs and are not fixed days.
  • 5 days off over Christmas, including Christmas and Boxing Day

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Support and motivate your team, ensuring they are happy, organised, and empowered to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Operational Excellence: Help with locking up the premises, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all areas comply with our procedures.
  • FOH Management: Check your shifts rota, allocate staffing, manage stock and oversee cellar management.
  • Training: Work with the management team to train and develop staff to maintain high standards of service.

  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality at a Supervisory level is essential.
  • Leadership Qualities: A natural leader who can motivate and inspire the team, while maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
  • Passion: A desire to provide outstanding service and help our team grow.
