We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Front of House Supervisor to immediately join our diverse and dynamic leadership team at the Tidemark Theatre located in Campbell River!
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years leadership experience who possesses a genuine passion for hospitality and service. Also, you must be a positive and inspiring supervisor who will bring a love for working both on the floor and behind the scenes communicating with a diverse body of volunteers and staff. An understanding of live theatre and the nuances that come with this type of industry would be an asset.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Front of House Supervisor
Department: Front of House
Position: Regular Part Time, Union (IATSE Local 168)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years+ customer service experience required; previous experience in front of house an asset
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to organize multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines and work under time constraints
  • Self-starter; able to take initiative and be proactive with respect to helping out on various projects in and around the theatre
  • Team oriented, flexible, and adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of liquor licensing and BC Gaming regulations
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Advanced ability to problem solve
  • Level 1 First Aid and Serving It Right required
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • Criminal Record Check required
    Classification: Regular Part Time, minimum 20 hours per week, Union (IATSE Local 168)
    Hours of Work: evenings, weekends, and some holidays
    Compensation: $29.12/hour; 4% vacation pay; 5% in lieu of stat holidays
    Probationary Period: 3 months
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $29.12 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Responsibilities

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Working collaboratively with Volunteers, Front of House Assistants, Ticket Centre Clerks, and Technical Staff, the Front of House Supervisor shall be responsible for coordinating volunteers and concessions, as well as delivering excellent customer service to patrons of the theatre through volunteer and front of house resources.
