Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Team Leader, you’ll guide and inspire a team of dedicated professionals while ensuring operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in training, coaching, and supporting team members to create an environment where both employees and guests feel valued.
This is an ideal role for individuals who are passionate about people development, problem-solving, and efficiency while maintaining Chick-fil-A’s high standards of hospitality and quality service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead by example—modeling service, teamwork, and integrity.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to achieve their best.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that prioritizes growth and accountability.
  • Provide real-time coaching to ensure operational success.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure smooth communication between FOH and BOH for seamless service.
  • Open and/or close shifts while ensuring team members follow restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Assist in inventory management and waste reduction strategies.

Labor Compliance & Break Management

  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, including meal and rest break regulations.
  • Proactively manage shift coverage, adjusting labor as needed based on business demands.

Cash Handling & Financial Accountability

  • Oversee cash handling procedures, including drawer counts, deposits, and safe audits.
  • Ensure team members follow proper cash handling policies to minimize discrepancies.
  • Assist in training and coaching on secure and accurate transactions.

Guest Experience

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Team Leader, you will be expected to perform all duties as a regular Team Member, including but not limited to:

  • Customer Service: Deliver warm, friendly service with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Order Management: Take guest orders, process payments, and ensure orders are accurate.
  • Food & Drink Preparation: Prepare drinks, desserts, and bag orders.
  • Dining & Drive-Thru Service: Deliver orders and provide hospitality both in the dining room and at the drive-thru.
  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean, stocked, organized, and safe environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside your team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with guests and team members.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow Chick-fil-A’s policies as outlined in the employee handbook at all times.
