JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dedicated and flexible Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this versatile role, you will be primarily based at reception but will also support operations in the restaurant, bar, and events as needed. You will be the first point of contact for guests across all areas of the business, providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. This position requires availability for various shift patterns, including evenings and night shifts.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous hospitality experience in reception, restaurant, bar, or events is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working varied shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and night shifts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Confidence in handling bookings, payments, and general guest services.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service and food safety practices is a plus.
  • Ability to upsell services and promote menu items or special events effectively.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests warmly and professionally across all front-facing areas, including reception, restaurant, bar, and events.
  • Operate reception duties such as check-in/check-out, handling bookings, phone enquiries, and guest assistance.
  • Provide table and bar service, take accurate orders, and ensure guest satisfaction in food and beverage areas.
  • Assist with event setups and guest coordination during functions or private bookings.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints calmly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to maintain a smooth operation and ensure high service standards.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards when handling food or beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all front-of-house areas, including reception, dining spaces, and bar.
  • Carry out basic maths functions for cash handling, POS operation, and order processing.
  • Adapt quickly to changing roles and responsibilities depending on business needs and shift assignments.
