The Cellar by Wine Monkey is the new headquarters for Wine Monkey, where we are able to expand the range, offer experiences and are excited to add a wine bar serving sustainable wines on tap and homemade artisan food pairings.

Sustainable wine bar and bottle shop opening soon in central Chippenham is offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s passionate about customer service, has front of house/serving experience and loves wine. We are looking for a Front of House team member to be a part of this exciting new venture in Chippenham. The Cellar by Wine Monkey is both a retail shop and full-service bar, offering great wines, beers, ciders and no/low options alongside a wonderful artisan food menu. We’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic about the concept and the drink offerings and loves interacting with people. As a brand new business, initially, the role is being offered as a part-time role with a minimum of 20 hours/week but with ample opportunity for overtime from day one. In time, as the business grows, the expectation is that this role will transition into a full-time position (40 hours/week) and valued member of the team.
You will have the opportunity to work in all aspects of a busy wine shop, café and bar, including some functions and events.

Duties to include:

• Welcoming guests and taking orders
• Serving drinks and food
• Preparing for and cleaning up after a service
• Running the retail shop during the day helping customers
• Proper till procedures and cash handling
• Participating in events and private functions
• Washing up, cleaning and general duties as required
