The Explorer Café is looking to recruit several enthusiastic members of staff to join its front of house team. Ideally you should have some hospitality experience although full training will be given. You should be of a cheerful nature, enjoy interacting with customers and be committed to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers and seating them at their table
• Taking customer orders and receiving payment
• Making barista coffees (training on the coffee machine will be given)
• Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers
• Clearing tables and ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained
• Following health and safety guidelines
• Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures
• Contributing to a positive work environment

These roles are around 16 - 30 hours a week, but start/finish times and working days can be flexible to suit students/parental responsibilities, although weekend working on a rota basis will be required. Punctuality and reliable attendance is important to us.
Pay rates are in accordance with national living wage for under 21s and £12.25 per hour for those aged 21 and over.
