OVERVIEW

The Inn at Kingsbarns is centrally located in the beautiful village of Kingsbarns on the East Neuk of Fife ( 6 miles from St Andrews ) The Inn currently offers 6 bedrooms, a sixteen seat restaurant, outdoor garden seating and a small bar.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of hospitality, including serving food and beverages, managing guest interactions, and maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the front of house area.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary standards.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Experience in serving or guest services is an advantage.
  • A passion for providing outstanding hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently while demonstrating knowledge of the menu offerings.
  • Serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, including dining tables, service stations, and restrooms.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods.
