An exciting opportunity to join our amazing front-of-house team, learn about coffee, and progress to a supervisor position. We are seeking someone who is friendly, conscientious and team focused to join on a full time, permanent basis. Our focus is speciality coffee and we train our front of house superstars about the entire process, from farm to cup.
Previous hospitality experience or retail experience would be helpful. Responsibilities will include serving customers, waiting on tables, walking and standing for long periods, cleaning, and adhering to food safety standards. Initially you would be entirely serving customers and waiting on tables. Once coffee training has been completed (an expected timescale of 3-6 months) you would be also be making coffees, overseeing junior members of staff, running shifts and cash handling in addition to the above. Due to the increased responsibilities after the training period, you would receive a corresponding pay increase.
We are open 7 days a week with shifts rotating between staff. We are looking for someone who will work 5 days from 7. You must be available to work weekends. Full time staff work around 6 weekend days each month and your application will not be considered if you are looking to work fewer than that.
Shifts are usually 7 hours, from 10am - 5pm, but may start as early as 7:30am, and may vary in length from 4 hours to 9 hours. There are no split shifts and it is mainly daytime hours, with the cafe being open one Friday and one Saturday evening each month. You may be asked from time to time to work at our Udny cafe.
You would receive 28 days paid leave, meals on duty and 25% off food and drink when not on duty and on retail products.
