OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to ensure efficient operation of one or more self storage facilities in Okanagan Falls. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in a busy office environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and proficiency in clerical tasks. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Interacting with the public and providing excellent customer service
  • Polite and respectful, listening to customer’s concerns
  • Communicate effectively, including handling telephone calls efficiently and replaying messages accurately
  • Confidence to work with minimum direct supervision

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching above shoulder level, pulling, typing, prolonged sitting or standing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers license with reliable transportation
  • Successful background check
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills, in person and on the phone
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, keyboarding and internet savvy)

Responsibilities
  • Promote rentals of storage units and RV/boat spots by competently handling telephone and in-person inquiries. Provide ongoing assistance to tenants in their use of the storage spaces
  • Effectively utilize computer system to log all transactions and tenant data/correspondence. Promote and sell packing/moving supplies.
  • Open and close the office daily
  • Contact tenants for issues such as past due accounts, auction notification, concerns with units, move out inspections, etc.
  • Maintaining a clean office, restrooms, storage units, drive aisle and hallways. Maintain physical property appearance, i.e, light snow removal and mopping
  • Conduct daily inspections of locks, units and gates/fences
  • Resolve any customer issues effectively and in a timely manner
