Select rooms include kitchenette facilities and a washer/dryer, while all rooms include an espresso machine, complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi, STAYCAST by Google Chromecast streaming, air conditioning, and bathroom amenities by Ideology.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for Casual Reception Team Members to join our teams at Abode Tuggeranong and Abode Kingston.

This is an exciting opportunity for customer-focused hospitality professionals who enjoy providing exceptional service and are looking for the flexibility to work across two of our Canberra locations.

Skills Required

• Dynamic, vibrant, confident and professional personality
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hotel Front Office operation, with exposure to both front desk and reservations procedures desired but not essential
• Previous leadership or similar experience is highly desirable
• Excellent customer relations, accounting/mathematical skills, problem-solving, decision-making and time-management skills
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, conflicting deadlines and varying guest situations
• High standard of personal presentation
• Previous experience using a Property Management System, preferably Opera, is desirable
• Strong local knowledge of Canberra and surrounding regions is highly desirable but not essential
• A current full Australian driver's licence is highly desirable but not essential
• Flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Must meet the legal requirements to work in Australia
