Description The Practice Coordinator is responsible for performing and directing all office activity for daily operations of the physician practice, including scheduling and supervising all non-clinical practice staff and serving as the primary contact person for the doctor, Director of Operations and all outside vendors on issues concerning the office. The Coordinator will also work as a MOA and assist in primary healthcare support. Has full access to patient health information. Responsible for the enforcement of Iredell Health System’s policies and Iredell Physician Network’s policies. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or have successfully completed the Assessment-based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) program through the American Association of Medical Assistants. The certifications/registrations/recognition must be current and updated before the expiration date). Training in venipuncture and ability to perform venipuncture accurately preferred. Current CPR certification or willing to complete upon hire. At least three years related medical office experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, etc.) and all office equipment. Working knowledge of medical terminology, practice computer systems and software, insurance, medical/legal issues relevant to the practice, accounts receivable management, bookkeeping, and coding Ability to perform and instruct/train others in essential medical office functions. Ability to make decisions independently and to resolve problems/conflicts in an effective manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
