Description:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly full-time Hotel Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Display, at all times, a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all interactions with guests, patrons and other employees.
  • Attend or read the handover briefing at the beginning of your shift to ensure that you are aware of any special requirements for the day.
  • Greeting guests as they arrive and checking them into their rooms
  • Handling guest inquiries and providing information about hotel amenities and services
  • Managing phone calls and email correspondence
  • Ability to quote and be familiar with room and rate availability for current and future dates.
  • Ability to accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of reservations staff.
  • Handling guest complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Managing room reservations and ensuring accuracy of guest information in the hotel’s booking system
  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area
  • Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform tasks and projects as delegated by the manager on duty.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and hotel booking software
  • Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
