Facility: BayCare Behavioral Health - Tampa
Location: Tampa, FL
Status: Full Time
Hours: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM Monday-Friday

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School or Equivalent
  • 1 year – Office Related
  • Customer service, interpersonal, critical thinking
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Works independently and with a team
  • Organization, administrative and clerical skills

Responsibilities
  • Obtains and updates patient information
  • Schedules patient appointments and assists with patient inquiries; may arrange for additional services
  • Collects and posts payments, and assists with patient billing questions
  • Ensures completion of all encounter documentation prior to check out
  • Accepts transfers from other facilities according to established guidelines.
  • Schedules patients with appropriate provider, answers phones and responds within time frames defined by departmental guidelines.
  • Obtains complete and accurate patient registration information according to department standards.
  • Reviews and confirms all registration information is accurate at each appointment and makes any required updates.
  • Consistently reviews cancellation, displaced patients, and appointment requests worklist throughout the day.
  • Reviews daily schedules for availability and coordinates with onsite supervisor to ensure providers’ schedules are at capacity.
  • Greets, registers and checks in patients
