We are seeking to recruit a Front Office Shift Leader at the Corinthia St George’s Bay to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Front Office and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The successful candidate will lead and support the front desk team during their shift, ensuring high service standards, efficient operations, and effective coordination across departments.


Key Responsibilities


Guest Service & Operations


  • Supervise the daily operations of the front desk and guest services
  • Ensure smooth check-in and check-out procedures
  • Greet and interact with guests in a warm and professional manner
  • Resolve guest issues, concerns, and special requests efficiently
  • Monitor the accuracy of guest profiles, billing, and room assignments
  • Maintain lobby presence and service flow during peak periods


Team Leadership & Communication


  • Lead shift briefings and allocate daily tasks to the team
  • Support and coach team members to uphold service standards
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment
  • Liaise with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to coordinate guest needs
  • Escalate operational issues or guest concerns to management as needed


Administration & System Use


  • Oversee the use of PMS systems (e.g., Opera Cloud) to ensure accurate guest data
  • Manage shift reports, handovers, and audit preparations
  • Assist in training new joiners on systems, SOPs, and guest interaction protocols
  • Ensure proper documentation and follow-up on incidents or complaints Health, Safety & Presentation
  • Uphold grooming and professional appearance standards among the team
  • Ensure front desk area remains clean, presentable, and well-stocked
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • Encourage team participation in Fire and Health & Safety training
  • Lead and support initiatives promoting sustainability and Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards while fostering a culture of responsible practices across the organisation.


Talent Profile


Skills & Experience


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within Front Office or Guest Services
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with Opera or similar property management systems
  • Sound knowledge of check-in/check-out and guest complaint handling procedures


Education & Certifications


  • Hospitality or hotel operations training preferred
  • Supervisory or leadership training is an asset


Requirements


  • Fluent in English; other languages are an advantage
  • Well-groomed and professional presentation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and night shifts
  • Based in Malta
