The Clarence Hotel Sydney features 50 hotel rooms, gym, and soon to come a Restaurant and a Bar once all stages are complete. Job Description This position is responsible for the supervision of the daily Guest service operations working alongside a small team managing shifts on your own. The Supervisor will ensure that all check-in, check-out, communication, and guest service procedures are executed efficiently, professionally, and in line with brand standards. A key function of this role is the strategic assignment and blocking of guest rooms to maximize efficiency, honor guest requests this includes Housekeeping requests, and support the resort's revenue strategy. The Supervisor also plays a critical role in coaching other team members (we all help each other), managing complex guest issues, and maintaining accurate financial controls. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory position, preferably in the hospitality industry Flexibility to work various shifts mostly PM (15:00-23:00) including weekends and holidays 2-3 shifts per week Part Time or Casual with opportunity to move into a Full-Time position Works independently and demonstrates great responsibility and honesty Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members Proficiency in front office systems, such as Opera Cloud, and Microsoft Office suite Solid knowledge of front office procedures and hospitality best practices Exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences Demonstrated ability to make quick, sound decisions in challenging situations Familiarity with Sydney and local area is advantageous Additional Information About the Handwritten Brand - Charming | Dynamic | Local Handwritten Collection was created in 2022 to bring together hotels with a unique personality, intimately reflecting the character and warmth of the people who love and look after them.
