Quick Muffler is seeking a confident, self-motivated professional who thrives at the intersection of customer service and hands-on technical work. This unique role combines front-end service advising with specialized welding and exhaust system repair—ideal for someone who enjoys variety, solving complex problems, and taking ownership of their work.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise

  • Perform welding and fabrication on exhaust systems, frames, and custom components
  • Diagnose and repair exhaust system issues from manifold to tailpipe
  • Design and execute custom exhaust solutions
  • Ensure all technical work is completed with precision and quality
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and 3D spatial layouts

Customer Service & Communication

  • Greet customers and assess their automotive needs with professionalism
  • Explain technical concepts and repair recommendations in clear terms
  • Prepare and review accurate estimates, timelines, and repair options
  • Coordinate transportation, drop-offs, and follow-up communication
  • Build trust through transparency, knowledge, and attention to detail

Service Workflow & Documentation

  • Create and manage repair orders (ROs) with complete customer and vehicle data
  • Confirm warranty and service coverage with proper documentation
  • Record problems and corrective actions in vehicle service records
  • Collect payments and ensure ROs are submitted promptly for billing
  • Maintain organized and updated client records and communications

Shop & Project Management

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks between customer service and shop work
  • Coordinate with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and keep projects on schedule
  • Follow through on commitments with minimal supervision
  • Communicate improvement ideas and feedback to management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a service advisor or in automotive customer service
  • Automotive technical training or certification
  • Familiarity with custom fabrication projects
