Quick Muffler is seeking a confident, self-motivated professional who thrives at the intersection of customer service and hands-on technical work. This unique role combines front-end service advising with specialized welding and exhaust system repair—ideal for someone who enjoys variety, solving complex problems, and taking ownership of their work.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise
- Perform welding and fabrication on exhaust systems, frames, and custom components
- Diagnose and repair exhaust system issues from manifold to tailpipe
- Design and execute custom exhaust solutions
- Ensure all technical work is completed with precision and quality
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and 3D spatial layouts
Customer Service & Communication
- Greet customers and assess their automotive needs with professionalism
- Explain technical concepts and repair recommendations in clear terms
- Prepare and review accurate estimates, timelines, and repair options
- Coordinate transportation, drop-offs, and follow-up communication
- Build trust through transparency, knowledge, and attention to detail
Service Workflow & Documentation
- Create and manage repair orders (ROs) with complete customer and vehicle data
- Confirm warranty and service coverage with proper documentation
- Record problems and corrective actions in vehicle service records
- Collect payments and ensure ROs are submitted promptly for billing
- Maintain organized and updated client records and communications
Shop & Project Management
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks between customer service and shop work
- Coordinate with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently
- Adapt to shifting priorities and keep projects on schedule
- Follow through on commitments with minimal supervision
- Communicate improvement ideas and feedback to management

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a service advisor or in automotive customer service
- Automotive technical training or certification
- Familiarity with custom fabrication projects
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
