JOB SUMMARYThe Frontend Architect is a member of the platform engineering team and leads the design and development of scalable, high-performance front-end architecture. The position plays a critical role in setting technical directions, enforcing best practices, and mentoring engineers to deliver consistent, maintainable, and modern user interfaces.
We are looking for a full stack developer with strong experience in building and designing frontend architecture. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in React and Redux, solid backend integration experience using Node.js, and a keen understanding of telemetry and observability tools like Sentry. Exposure to SignalR/Websocket messagehandling is desired. You should be passionate about user experience, performance, and quality at scale. The Frontend Architect reports directly to our Lead Software Architect.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· 8+ years of front-end development experience, including 3+ years in an architectural or lead capacity.
· Expert-level proficiency in React and Redux.
· Solid experience with Node.js and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
· Deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, Webpack, and module bundlers.
· Hands-on experience with SignalR and WebSocket-based message handling.
· Strong grasp of software design patterns, state management, component lifecycles, and data flow.
· Experience building and scaling component libraries or design systems.
· Familiarity with Sentry or similar monitoring/telemetry tools for error tracking and performance insights.
· Strong/Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, phone, and monitor.
  • Occasional travel may be required for business or team collaboration purposes.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person and via virtual meetings.

Responsibilities

· Design and define scalable and maintainable front-end architecture using React and Redux/Rematch.
· Collaborate with product, UI/UX designer, backend, and DevOps teams to align full-stack architecture and deployment strategy.
· Lead the adoption of component libraries, coding standards, and front-end tooling across multiple product teams.
· Champion performance optimization, accessibility, security, and responsive design.
· Build reusable, testable components and front-end infrastructure for a modular, composable platform.
· Implement telemetry and monitoring best practices using tools like Sentry and help establish a robust front-end observability strategy.
· Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and patterns to continuously improve engineering efficiency and quality.
· Mentor and guide engineers on best practices in front-end development, architecture, and code reviews.
