Description
About the company: Founded in 2018, Verbolia is disrupting the way to approach search marketing with an innovative SaaS technology. We are growing very rapidly internationally, with our technology being used by e-commerce leaders like Dior, Chanel, Decathlon, Hugo Boss, Walmart, and many more! The Mission: Verbolia is looking for a Frontend Solutions Lead Engineer to bridge the gap between our core SEO/GEO technology and the unique needs of our global enterprise clients. You won’t just be "building pages"; you will be the technical architect behind the delivery of our high-performance Vpage solution, leading a team of five remote frontend developers to ensure our technology scales seamlessly across hundreds of unique client environments. Why this role is different: This is not a "pure" frontend role in a sandbox. You will work within a .NET environment where the frontend is tightly integrated with the backend for maximum SEO/GEO performance. You will have the autonomy to influence the core product to improve how we deliver custom solutions, ensuring an efficient and high-quality "service" side of the business. Your responsibilities also extend to working closely with our customer success managers and their clients, understanding their needs, and providing effective solutions. You'll be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues, maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. Continuous learning is a part of the job, as staying updated with the latest in technology, and sharing this knowledge with your team. Tasks Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a remote team of developers. You will set the standards for code quality, conduct reviews, and optimize the development workflow (improving the SDK you will inherit). Solution Architecture: Translate complex client requirements into scalable technical designs using .NET, Razor templates, and modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Product Influence: Act as the voice of the "Customer Solution" within the core engineering team. You will have the mandate to suggest and implement changes to the core product that make customization easier and more powerful. Client Advisory: Join high-level client calls to discuss technical integrations, performance optimizations, and SEO/GEO best practices. Performance & QA: Oversee the technical health of client deployments, ensuring Core Web Vitals are met and the integration between our AWS-hosted V-solutions (Vpage/Vlink,..) and the client’s domain is seamless. Requirements Your Profile: The "Pragmatic Architect": You have 5+ years of experience. You might have started in frontend, but you’ve grown to appreciate the full stack (especially .NET/Razor) and how it impacts SEO, GEO, and page performance. The "Product Thinker": You aren't happy just "finishing tickets." You want to improve the way things are built and provide ideas that elevate the whole product. The "Leader by Example": You enjoy coaching others and can manage a remote team effectively, balancing technical guidance with project delivery. The “Excellent Communicator”: You can explain "the why" behind a technical decision to both a developer and a non-technical marketing manager. Technical Stack: Core: HTML5, SCSS/CSS3, JavaScript (Vanilla), .NET 8/9, Razor (C#) Tools: AWS, Bitbucket, Resource Bundling tools, SEO/GEO performance monitoring. Benefits What we offer: Be part of an international scale-up environment working with cutting edge technologies and with the biggest ecommerce companies in the world High degree of independence, responsibility, and impact on business operations A competitive salary with plenty of fringe benefits, a company car, a mobile subscription, 5 extra holidays, meal vouchers, a group and hospitalization insurance A hybrid working model, a good mix of home and office working It is truly important to us that each team member is happy in the team, with interesting challenges, a good understanding of their contribution to the company, a nice environment, a super flexible home working policy,... When recruiting a new team member, we’ll always focus primarily on: company culture fit: be trustworthy, friendly, willing to help adaptability: be ready to evolve along with the company being solution-oriented: never come up with a problem, always come up with a solution to a problem Join a start-up company that takes care of its people: yearly teambuilding celebrating our successes quarterly team activities focusing on fun monthly lunches, just because we're hungry sometimes weekly fresh fruits to stay healthy daily collaboration with fantastic colleagues You’re doubting as you think you’re not a 100% match? Apply anyway. We know that 'perfect' candidates on paper are rare. You might be a Frontend Developer looking to step into leadership, or who is eager to apply their skills within our specific .NET environment. If you have a rock-solid frontend foundation and the drive to solve complex problems, we want to hear from you. We value potential, curiosity, and a 'get-it-done' attitude as much as a checklist of years of experience.
Responsibilities
The Lead Engineer will provide technical leadership for a remote team of five developers, setting code quality standards and optimizing the development workflow, while also translating complex client needs into scalable technical designs using .NET and modern frontend technologies.
