We’re looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join our team to provide our specialty
desserts and artisan bakery offerings.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is primarily responsible for the execution of Frostwood Farms Kitchen’s desserts and baked goods in accordance with both Frostwood and Health Department standards. The Pastry Chef collaborates with the Culinary Director and Executive Chef and is responsible for training the Assistant Pastry Chef, pricing products, minimizing waste, maintaining an organized bakery, interacting with customers, and leading customer classes and interactive experiences.
This role also involves working collaboratively with the team, demonstrating a willingness to both give and receive feedback. The Pastry Chef is expected to assume a core leadership role, empowering and coaching support staff and teammates.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional pastry or bakery setting
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and inventory management
  • Experience training or supervising team members
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for teaching and customer engagement a plus

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily bakery operations for events, classes, and to-go offerings
  • Oversee production, standardized recipes, food costs, quality control, and safety compliance
  • Train and supervise the Assistant Pastry Chef
  • Maintain and organize inventory and storage systems
  • Manage bakery scheduling and workflow for efficiency
  • Monitor and control product waste and costs
  • Keep all bakery areas clean and up to code
  • Communicate purchasing needs and coordinate with Front of House and event staff
  • Lead and assist in customer classes and interactive baking experiences
