JOB TITLE: SENIOR FIELD SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR (INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING) Location: Arizona Department: Engineering / Automation / Field Services Reports To: Engineering Manager / Integration Manager ---------------------------------------- POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a highly experienced Field Systems Integrator to lead the integration, commissioning, and support of complex industrial systems at manufacturing facilities and customer sites. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with system-level thinking to ensure seamless operation of automated equipment, controls, and data systems. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Integrate and commission industrial automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and robotics * Lead on-site installation, startup, and validation of manufacturing equipment and systems * Configure and troubleshoot control systems, networks, and instrumentation * Interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and system architecture diagrams * Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system designs and improvements * Diagnose and resolve system issues, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions * Interface with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams during deployments * Document system configurations, integration procedures, and service reports * Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations * Provide training and technical guidance to operators, technicians, and junior integrators * Support continuous improvement initiatives and system upgrades ---------------------------------------- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience) * 7+ years of experience in systems integration, automation, or field service within industrial manufacturing * Strong hands-on experience with: * PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) * HMI/SCADA systems * Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus) * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and control panel layouts * Proven experience with commissioning and troubleshooting automated systems * Willingness to travel (30–60%) to customer or plant sites ---------------------------------------- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with robotics integration (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA) * Knowledge of motion control systems and servo drives * Familiarity with MES and IIoT platforms * Experience with vision systems and sensors * Understanding of cybersecurity principles in industrial environments * OSHA safety training or certification * Experience working in ISO 9001 or similar regulated environments ---------------------------------------- KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES * Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking * Excellent communication and customer-facing skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities * Self-driven with strong attention to detail * Leadership and mentoring capabilities ---------------------------------------- WORK ENVIRONMENT * Combination of office, manufacturing floor, and field/customer sites * Exposure to industrial equipment, electrical systems, and varying site conditions * Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces when needed * Travel required, including overnight stays ---------------------------------------- COMPENSATION & BENEFITS (TYPICAL FOR ARIZONA MARKET) * Competitive salary * Travel per diem and reimbursement * Health, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) with company match * Paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for advancement
