Reports To: Quality Assurance Supervisor/Manager JOB SUMMARY: The Sanitation position will perform duties in an industrial setting with a focus on cleaning industrial equipment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * None DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Cleans and maintains factory and industrial equipment. * Able to assemble and dissemble machinery. * Ensures equipment is free of grease, oil, residue, and other materials. * Cleans floors around machinery and elsewhere in the facility as assigned. * Uses water, cleaning agents, sanitizers, brushes, and vacuums to clean the exterior and interior of machinery, and equipment. * Inspects equipment, or machine parts for damage and to ensure cleanliness. * Ensures that cleaning machines and equipment operate properly; notifies supervisor of problems or when repairs are needed. * Maintains an organized and neat work area. * Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and notifies the Equipment Manager of items to be ordered. * Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. * Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Ability to use hand cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and brushes. * Ability to use power cleaning tools such as pressure washers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers. * Ability to follow and read instructions and use cleaning chemicals and agents properly. * Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Previous Sanitation experience preferred. * On-the-job training provided. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. * Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

The position focuses on cleaning and maintaining industrial equipment and factory floors to ensure they are free of residue and grease. Responsibilities include assembling/disassembling machinery and monitoring cleaning supply inventory.
