Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the technical delivery of banking projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time with high quality standards.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, engineering and test leads to drive delivery.
  • Ensure the successful completion of all major activities, tasks and deliverables pertaining to the requirement analysis and mapping stageDevelop and maintain a detailed project plans and track progress and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Oversee the implementation, development and testing of Credit and / or Core Banking systems.
  • Stay abreast of the latest Banking industry trends to drive innovation within the company.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Assist clients in leading discussions with various Banking vendors on transformation projects.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 8+ years of strong experience in technical project management, with a focus on banking systems
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management
  • Have knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (SDLC) majoring in Agile (Scrum / Kanban)
  • Have ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of banking applications and architecture and industry regulations
  • Good understanding of Credit or Core Banking systems
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects end to end on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in delivering business value from technology as well as communicating the value to senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in banks across multiple product domains (e.g., Retail, Corporate, SME, Treasury)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Experience with various project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.
  • Have a strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in IT or relevant field.
  • Having worked in the consulting industry is advantageous
