QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Significant Quality experience gained within Food / Beverage / Pharma manufacturing industry with a good eye for detail.
  • Degree or equivalent in Food science/technology related subject.
  • Lead Auditor Qualification (GFSI) and familiar with various food quality standards
  • HACCP Level 4 (Min)
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 (Min)
  • Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills, fluency of English.
  • Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key data.
  • SAP experience is beneficial but not essential as training is provided.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels up and down.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting new opportunity at our Carrigaline Enzyme manufacturing facility for a Food Safety & Quality Manager. This newly created role will be accountable for food safety and quality aspects of the new Lactase Enzyme product range and production line currently under construction. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience of overseeing quality within a food or pharma manufacturing environment with a deep understanding of food quality standards, policies, procedures, and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible all Food Safety and Quality requirements for Lactase Business, but working with established quality team on site
  • Ensuring new line is compliant with Kerry Quality Management Systems, FSQ standards, policies and procedures
  • Lead the sites external and internal audit programme (including GSS, FSSC, Customers, Third Party, Authorities, etc) to ensure audits are completed to the required frequency and drive close out of non-conformances.
  • Generating, maintaining, and updating as necessary, of internal quality and food safety/quality site KPI’s and customer reports providing accurate data analysis.
  • Responsible for customer complaint handling, responses, reporting and trending
  • Overseeing quality of Third-Party Manufactures
  • Building relationships with senior management of the Kerry enzyme business and other Kerry enzyme portfolio sites
  • Working with cross functional teams on site in Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Ensure there is a robust traceability procedure in place that is regularly challenged
  • Ensure all FSQ requirements are covered in Change Management Process
