We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for a FSQ Technician to join our Food Safety and Quality team based out of our King Street, New Zealand site! Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to: Implement and maintain the site’s food safety and quality requirements, driving completion of related action plans and ensuring compliance. Oversee product sampling, testing and calibration activities; make or support release decisions to confirm conformity with customer, third‑party and company specifications. Investigations into quality incidents and complaints using risk assessment and root‑cause analysis, and manage corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence. Plan, perform and report internal audits and validation activities (including control point validations), and ensure timely closure of findings. Provide technical input and risk mitigation for new product, process or packaging projects to safeguard food safety and quality outcomes. Develop and deliver quality training and competency assessments for production and operations staff to improve right‑first‑time performance. Prepare clear, data‑driven reports and materials for FSQ and steering meetings to support decision making and continuous improvement. Maintain site control measures and behavioural safety standards through regular verifications and accountability reporting. About you: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team Ability to grasp technical concepts and influence stakeholders with facts. Understanding of low acid and acid food safety Decision making ability on product quality. Experience in a manufacturing environment with quality risk assessment and food safety exposure High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PPT) High level of personal integrity and sense of right and wrong Eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights.
