Job Summary: The Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician- Production is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and enforcing food safety and quality assurance programs for All Seasonings Ingredients, Inc. The FSQA Technician will be knowledgeable in all food safety compliance, such as HACCP, SQF, FDA, and other relevant standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Execute the food safety and quality assurance programs for ASI Work primarily on the production floor to support operations teams in achieving FSQA goals Production Line checks Production Metal Detector Verification Mezz lot # verifications Observation and recordkeeping of GMPs Observation of cleaning and recommending where cleaning should be done Complete GMP Monthly inspections in Buildings 1 & 2 Complete glass and plastic inspections in Buildings 1 & 2 Completing and physically placing QC hold tags on products in production/blends Performing product, equipment, and processing audits Assisting with ensuring compliance of policies and procedures (GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and SOPs) Assist with annual inspections (pathogen swabbing, water testing, compressed air test Sift (as needed) failed metal detect items May interface with regulatory agencies during inspections Work with QC personnel on communicating GMP, product, and production opportunities for improvement Work with QC and Production personnel on product troubleshooting Conduct random knife inspections of controlled knives Coordinating obtaining Production samples for customers as needed Other Essential Functions: Upholds the values and mission of All Seasonings Ingredients Follows all policies and procedures set by All Seasonings Ingredients Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor The Employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position Requirements Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal) Problem-solving and project management skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments Requires excellent scientific skills in the analysis, documentation, and interpretation of data Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) Experience, Education, and Training - Experience in Food QA, food manufacturing, or related experience with consumer food preferred License and/or Certification preference for GMP, HACCP, SQF Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is subject to the following requirements: To see, talk, and hear The employee is often required to stand and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, or type The employee is also required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The employee may need to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Strong aromas of spice, allergens, and particulates in the air Compensation: All Seasonings, Ingredients, Inc. offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
