Job Title: Assistant Manager – Financial Shared Services (FSS) Location: Indore Department: Finance / Shared Services Reporting To: Manager – FSS / Finance Lead Role Overview: The Assistant Manager – Financial Shared Services will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations within the FSS team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, compliance with internal controls, and continuous improvement of service delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of finance operations in a shared services environment. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage a team handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and other finance processes. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. • Monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure service quality and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities. • Assist in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements. • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives within the shared services framework. • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members. Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. • 5–7 years of experience in finance operations, preferably in a shared services or BPO environment. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel. • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Attributes: • Experience in managing transitions or migrations of finance processes. • Exposure to global finance operations and multi-country environments. • Certification in finance or accounting (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) is a plus.
