Description

A lovely family of four based in Alexandra Palace, N22 seek a bubbly, organised, energetic, warm and loving (local ideally) nanny (to include some light housekeeping and meal prep) to work 4 days a week. Their two lovely boys are 3&5 years old.
You’ll be a fluent English speaker and you’ll be someone who is looking for a long-term position who wants to become part of the family. You will be physically fit and energetic. The perfect nanny will have experience with these ages and be reliable. The role is sole charge.

Driving is preferred, parking is available if you wish to drive to work each day. A car could be provided. Mum and dad work from home most of the time and so you will need to be comfortable with this set up.

  • Start date: Tues 6th May 2025 (Some flex for the right person).
  • Days / Hours: 42 hrs a week over 4 days a week 8am - 6.30pm Monday to Thursday. This will include some family meal prep and light housework from September when the youngest will be at preschool on Wednesday afternoons and all Thursday (same as school hours). Additional babysitting hours available, but optional.
  • Gross Annual Salary offered will be between £43,680 and £48,000 (£20-£22 gross hourly) depending on your qualifications and experience.

Each day will involve school drop off, then taking care of the youngest who doesn’t start nursery until Sep 2025. As stated above, he’ll attend Weds afternoon and all of Thursday.
You will take the youngest child to local activities and groups, walks in the park and lots of playing! You’ll manage naps and meal times. You’ll collect the eldest from school during the term time and manage any after school activities and play dates. You will give the children their evening meal. During the school holidays you’ll plan activities and trips, a mix of fun, adventure and educational.
You will be happy to support the family with some light housekeeping when not
focusing on the kids (family laundry during the time when the kids are at school, kids’ bedrooms and communal areas eg kitchen).
You’ll be capable and happy to cook family meals when needed (inc preparing any packed lunches when required) and run small errands such as getting groceries when required from the local shop (a very short walk).
Experience working with toddlers and school aged children will be essential. Someone physically fit is essential. You will work together as a team with mum/dad in order to set clear boundaries. Someone happy to communicate openly and confidently with the family will be required. You’ll be fun, full of positive energy, creative, calm. You will enthusiastically muck in with busy family life and help mum and dad raise happy, kind, well adjusted children. You will be a non-smoker. You will have a current enhanced DBS certificate and be paediatric first aid trained. You will have excellent checkable references from previous employers.
