SHIFT AVAILABILITY Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 1:30 pm-10:00 pm, Saturday, Sunday, 11:30 am-8:00 pm Shift differential after four (4) pm. PDI is looking for hardworking & enthusiastic employees to work in small teams at Gyms on Fort Carson. SUMMARY The Fort Carson Custodian (“Custodian”) performs work under the authority of the Fort Carson custodial contract (“contract”) and follows all supervision, direction, and oversight to meet contract-related guidelines, provisions, and goals. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safety Follow procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment Follow safety procedures to check electrical appliances and equipment before use Notify the supervisor with recommendations about equipment repair and replacement Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures Custodial Mixes and prepares cleaning solutions according to manufacturer specifications and PDI safety guidelines Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes the floor Clean rugs, carpet,s and upholstered furniture Dust furniture and equipment Polishes metalwork Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork Washes windows, door panels, and sills Empties wastebaskets Transports trash and waste to the disposal area Replenishes bathroom supplies Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways and office space Transports small equipment or tools between departments Sets up tables and chairs in the lunchroom, work centers, and other areas as required REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A high school degree or its equivalent is required. Prior custodial experience is required. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Age 18. Pre-employment background screening, pre-employment drug screening, and successful completion of First Aid and other required certifications are required. All applicants need to have clearance to get onto the Army Post Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and work effectively with individuals served, staff, and support agencies. Must be able to relate to and work with disabled and elderly people within the PDI environment. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. MATHEMATICS ABILITY Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as circumference and volume. Various shifts are available. Days, Evenings, Nights, and/or Weekends. There is a shift differential of $1.00 per hour after 4:00 p.m. Benefits: Available to full-time employees after the first 30 days of employment, the benefits package includes: Major Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Federal Holidays Paid Sick Time Paid time off after one year of employment (80 hours of PTO). All transportation is provided by the company; no personal vehicles are required other than to arrive for work.
