Two years experience in working with a targeted population-low income adults and families with severe mental illness, Spanish-speaking individuals are strongly encouraged to apply. Meets with clients in the community to assist with any housing-related activities; Social Security, Food Stamps, HUD, rent assistance, issues with landlord/other tenants, etc. Teaches clients communication, resume, coping skills, problem-solving, interview, and computer, in the community or the office. Teaches clients “good tenant skills” in the community or the office. Meets with staff and community stakeholders to educate them on programs that are provided and how clients qualify for them. Will be responsible for adhering to billing and reporting standards for multiple housing grants Conducts monthly home visits for housing clients. Communicates with staff and coworkers about clients’ needs. Attends monthly/quarterly housing program conference calls. Attends yearly training for housing programs. Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work schedule is essential. Maintain HIPAA and client confidentiality at all times. Marginal Duties: Performs other duties as assigned. Typical Decisions: The Housing Coordinator will make decisions for individual qualifications for specific housing program based off of each program housing guidelines and qualifications.
