Position Summary Prepare and cook high-quality food for the City’s Golf Course grill, snack bars, and banquet events while ensuring excellent food safety and service standards. This position works under the direction of the Golf Course Food and Beverage Manager to support daily food service operations and special events. Responsibilities include cooking, assisting with food preparation for tournaments and banquets, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Starting Pay: $21.64 per hour Benefits: Full benefits; health, dental, and life insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays, vision reimbursement plan Retirement: Utah Retirement Systems, pension and/or 401(k) Schedule: Full-time, 40-hours per week. Job Responsibilities Prepare and cook high-quality food for the grill, snack bars, and events while adhering to food safety regulations. Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food service areas. Work collaboratively with golf operations, pro shop staff, maintenance, and food and beverage employees to ensure smooth operations. Assist with hiring, training, and supervising part-time staff working in the grill and at events. Assist in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations; report any hazards or concerns immediately. Support the evaluation and development of menu items, regularly adjusting offerings, pricing, and cost margins as needed. Assist with marketing efforts to promote food and beverage services and increase event bookings. Complete and maintain daily checklists for food preparation, inventory, and cleanliness. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Experience in Food and Beverage. Event and/or recreation experience preferred. Strong understanding of food safety regulations. Ability to coordinate and execute food and beverage services for events such as tournaments, weddings, and banquets. Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interacting with staff, customers, and management. Ability to plan work schedules, coordinate events, and handle cash transactions accurately. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) preferred. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in culinary arts or hospitality preferred. Experience in food preparation, catering, and bartending preferred. Experience in Food and Beverage Management is a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must have or be able to obtain a Serve Safe Management certification. Must have or be able to obtain current alcohol service certification. Must have or be able to obtain within 30 days a Utah Driver License.
