Shift 2p-10p Starting at $16.00 an hour- must be able to work weekends As a Shift Lead at the brand-new Starbucks inside Joplin 44 Petro, you will help guide the team during daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, product quality, and team efficiency. You’ll serve as a key support to the Store Manager, helping run shifts smoothly, lead by example, and uphold Starbucks’ values and Joplin 44’s high standards of service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced in food service and looking to further their leadership background. Joplin 44 is committed to providing a safe work environment. Requirements Requirements Open or close the store following all operating and safety procedures Lead the team during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operation and great customer experiences Provide coaching, feedback, and encouragement to team members during shifts Ensure all drinks and food are prepared to Starbucks quality standards Manage breaks, shift tasks, and ensure labor is aligned with business needs Monitor cleanliness, organization, and product availability throughout the shift Handle and resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently Complete end-of-shift paperwork and communicate key information to the Store Manager Operate POS system, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate cash drawers Maintain a positive, inclusive work environment and support team morale Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or retail required Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure Comfortable giving feedback and holding team members accountable Organized and attentive to detail Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable, dependable, and available for a flexible schedule (early mornings, nights, weekends) Work Schedule: Shifts may fall between 6 AM – 10 PM, 7 days a week Full-time Weekend and holiday availability required
