Description Georgia Medical Staffing is in need of a FT Psychiatrist for a full-time, 1 year (plus) VA contract in Tuskegee, AL. Details: Start: - June 13, 2026 Contract end - June 12, 2027 with option to extend likely Central Valley VA Healthcare System Any state license accepted Must be BC or truly BE Scope: Inpatient Care: All psychiatrists will be required to work in collaboration with Mental Health staff who are part-time or full time salaried by the VA for inpatient care duties including but not limited to: Operating and collaborating physician's patients Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward Patients Admitting Diagnosis of patients Developing Treatment Plans Managing, including the performance of timely treatment Discharge/Transfer Including all needed medical record documentation Outpatient Care Seeing all new patient referrals with accompanying medical records Seeing severely mental ill patients Evaluation disposition E-consult Post-discharged follow up Patients must be seen by provider in 30 days Clinic and Residential Care: Provide clinical psychiatry services. Clinical duties include direct patient care. Operate the clinic, examine patients, and interpret reports as required by the VA. Be present and on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic. Required to work with VA staff. Should clinic hours need to be changed, VA will provide a thirty-day advanced notice of the change. Approximate case load is as follows: 6 to 6.5 patient bookable hours per day. 6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5 bookable patient hours per day. Create on-call schedule Communication of test results Follow all medication policies Locations: May work at multiple sites: Montgomery, AL Tuskegee, AL Dothan, AL Fort Rucker, AL Columbus, GA Monroeville, AL Hours: Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM Call: Monday through Friday 4:30pm – 7:30am; Friday through Monday 4:30pm – 8:00am; and Federal Holidays 8:00am – 8:00pm. On Call schedule made at end of each month. Provider must be available on-call during all hours when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Pay: $135 per hour Paid Malpractice Travel/lodging, if needed Requirements ANY ENCUMBERED STATE LICENSE Must be ABPM BC/BE Clean background NPI DEA OIG BLS/ACLS
