Working through Universities by Sodexo, you will be responsible for ensuring the building, our students, visitors and your co-workers’ safety in your role as Security Supervisor at Sodexo at University of Greenwich, Medway Campus. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid SIA Licence
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Good knowledge of security techniques, alarm systems, and CCTV operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate reporting and record-keeping skills

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused security service
  • Patrol, secure, and monitor the library premises, including CCTV when required
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, supporting safe evacuations
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, issuing passes and managing entry
  • Complete accurate daily occurrence logs, incident reports, and handovers
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, fire, hygiene, COSHH, and site security procedures
