The Team & Role Reporting to the Fuel Supply Chain Manager, the Fuel Supply Chain Specialist supports the end to end management and optimisation of easyJet’s global jet fuel supply chain. You’ll help ensure a secure, safe, compliant and cost effective fuel supply, while driving operational efficiency, increasing supply chain resilience, digitising fuel activity and reducing reliance on major oil companies. This role works cross functionally with Procurement, Finance, Ground Operations, Airports, Fuel Suppliers and Into-Plane Providers to support commercial negotiations, operational performance, HSSE compliance and continuous improvement initiatives across fuel sourcing, contracting, delivery and refuelling operations. Key Responsibilities · Support the management of the airline’s total jet fuel operation, from sourcing to into-wing delivery · Help develop supply chain options at all base airports to ensure security of supply, efficiency and long term cost benefits · Support negotiation of supply contracts and tender processes, including commercial and financial analysis · Liaise with Airport Managers, Fuel Suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies and challenge costs · Analyse operational and financial data (e.g. Tableau dashboards) to minimise fuelling delays and identify improvement opportunities · Support audits, inspections and compliance activities in line with JIG, IATA and HSSE requirements · Manage refuelling training with third party providers and support incident investigations · Coordinate operational matters such as fuel tankering and supply at divert airports · Support tender deployment and Go Live activities at airports across the network · Collaborate with suppliers to identify vulnerabilities and develop proposals for resilient, long term infrastructure · Contribute to the digitisation and continuous improvement of fuel operations Read on if you: · Have a strong understanding of end to end jet fuel supply chains, including sourcing, contracting, logistics and into plane refuelling · Are commercially aware and able to support contract negotiations, tenders and cost optimisation · Possess analytical skills to interpret dashboards and identify efficiency improvements · Have working knowledge of HSSE requirements, JIG standards and audit processes · Are organised, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities across a large network · Enjoy problem solving and proposing innovative, practical solutions · Work effectively with cross functional teams and external suppliers What You’ll Need to Succeed · 3–5 years’ relevant experience in aviation fuel operations, fuel supply chain, procurement, or a comparably complex operational environment · Demonstrable understanding of end toend jet fuel supply chains · Experience supporting fuel supply tenders, contract management and Go-Live deployment · Working knowledge of HSSE, fuel quality and regulatory requirements (JIG, IATA, audits, NCR/incident management) · Proven ability to analyse operational performance data using dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) · Strong attention to detail and structured approach to managing multiple locations and suppliers · Commercial awareness and ability to support initiatives balancing cost, supply security, resilience and safety · Confidence operating in a dynamic environment, supporting decision making during disruptions · A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in digitisation and increasing control within fuel operations What You’ll Get · Competitive salary & up to 20%25 bonus · 25 days holiday · Share schemes & 7%25 pension · Life assurance & private healthcare · Flexible benefits and excellent staff travel Practicalities This is a permanent role based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week.
