MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Fuels Information Management: Accurately maintain fuels and cryogenic records, ensuring proper documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, and inventory transactions.

  • Data Entry & System Reconciliation: Input and reconcile data across systems including the Base-Level Support Application (BLSA) and Enterprise Fuels Manager (Defence) to ensure transaction integrity and correct billing/payment.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Compile, analyze, and generate recurring and ad hoc reports for internal leadership and external agencies such as HQ USAFE, DLA, AFPA, and DESC.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Track inventory levels to ensure sufficient product availability in support of operational requirements.
  • Customer & Contract Support: Liaise with customers and support the Fuels Management Team on contractual matters and service requirements.
  • Compliance & Standards: Perform all duties in accordance with applicable AF Instructions, Technical Orders, DoD regulations, DESC policies, and other governing documents.
  • Program Participation: Support collateral programs such as Land Mobile Radio (LMR), PMEL, Hazardous Waste/Materials, Security, Lock-out/Tag-out, and Records Management.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Terminal Manager or Project Manager in support of mission readiness.

Responsibilities
  • IT Proficiency: Must be IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Written Communication: Able to write clear, well-organized, and accurate reports using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Verbal Communication: Able to communicate effectively in English using complex sentence structures and appropriate verb tenses.
  • Oral Information Exchange: Must be capable of clearly, accurately, and promptly conveying and receiving verbal instructions, even in fast-paced or noisy environments.
  • Reading Comprehension: Must be able to read and interpret general orders, instructions, and guidance, and appropriately apply them to specific situations.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Possess strong mathematical acumen with the ability to apply quantitative reasoning to solve complex problems logically and effectively.
  • Work Under Pressure: Must be able to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced, and potentially stressful environments.
    Due to the specific roles and responsibilities, the Fuels Management Team does not expect any candidate to be fully qualified for the role prior to the start date. At least 6 months of on-the-job training will be required before the candidate is placed into the formal Base Level Defence Fuels Management Course.
