JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both corporate and non-profit accounting, with proficiency in various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero. This role requires a solid understanding of GAAP principles and the ability to prepare accurate financial reports while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles as well as non-profit accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and conducting account reconciliations.
  • Ability to perform payroll functions accurately.
  • Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
  • Strong analytical skills for account analysis and budgeting tasks.
  • Previous experience in public accounting is advantageous but not required. We encourage qualified candidates who are passionate about bookkeeping to apply for this essential role within our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting.
  • Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights on financial performance against budgeted figures.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax preparation as needed.
  • Utilize technical accounting skills to support financial decision-making within the organization.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
