WHAT YOU WILL LEARN AND CONTRIBUTE TO

Patent Analytics team is seeking a Full Stack Data Scientist who will play a pivotal role in harnessing the power of Generative AI and advanced analytics to transform complex patent data into strategic insights. You’ll collaborate within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of data scientists, patent attorneys, and business strategists, driving innovative solutions that directly impact decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy advanced AI and Generative AI models to extract insights from complex patent data.
  • Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines for handling structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and deploy end-to-end solutions, including cloud-based applications and visualization dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data science solutions into business workflows.
  • Communicate findings and actionable insights through compelling data visualizations and storytelling to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and patent analytics to continually refine project strategies.
  • Lead project phases from conception to deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a data scientist with a focus on patent analytics and patent landscape generation.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and experience with big data tools like Spark.
  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to apply advanced statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, experimental design, predictive analytics) to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable patent data pipelines. Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL databases, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure).
  • Expertise in supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning methods, with a strong focus on Generative AI and large language models (LLMs).
  • Demonstrated ability to create interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports using tools like Power BI, or Python libraries such as Matplotlib, Plotly and Streamlit.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud services and analytical tools, preferably with Microsoft Azure platform (e.g. Databricks, Microsoft Fabric).

  • Capability to independently handle all project phases, from data collection to deployment.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with specialized teams and contribute to diverse tasks such as modeling, pipeline development, and visualization.
