Epson Australia has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate to drive positive change in our business systems environment. We are looking for a person with strong systems skills, together with the ability to become an integral part of the business. This will be a 12 month fixed-term contract.
As the Full Stack Developer and DBA, you will work with a small team to help develop and deliver systems strategy to help the business achieve its strategic plan and organisational goals.
Reporting to the Business Systems Lead and based at our office in North Sydney, you will be engaged and positive, and contribute to a workplace where everyone works to realise our established purpose, vision and objectives.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET, Classic ASP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Build user interfaces with React, Angular, or plain JavaScript
• Manage databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL): backups, performance tuning, and optimisation
• Design and support Azure Data Lake for data storage and integration
• Write and maintain backend scripts using Python and shell scripting for automation or data tasks
• Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for applications and databases
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and database issues

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience with ASP.NET and Classic ASP (VBScript)
• Hands on experience with Azure Data Lake
• Experience with Python and shell scripting (e.g. Bash)
• Experience in requirement gathering and creating technical documentation
• Strong skills in SQL Server and other relational databases
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern JS framework (React, Angular, etc)
• Familiar with Git and general development best practices
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with Power BI and how reports or dashboards are used
• Basic understanding of Power Automate and how it supports workflow automation
• Exposure to MuleSoft, Power Apps, or Azure Functions
• Certifications in Azure, Power Platform or database technologies
