Overview:
BigBear.ai is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer (JAVA/JEE) to play a vital role in modernizing and maintaining the CBP information systems. You’ll leverage your expertise in JAVA/JEE to build scalable, efficient solutions that enhance mission-critical operations and drive continuous improvement.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable JEE software applications that power mission-critical systems
  • Leverage cutting-edge software engineering tools and frameworks such as Eclipse, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, and Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence to streamline development and collaboration
  • Partner closely with users and stakeholders in an Agile environment, gathering requirements, incorporating feedback, and iteratively refining solutions through engaging demonstrations
  • Lead and participate in formal and informal design reviews, confidently presenting your solutions and ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Produce clear, thorough documentation in accordance with the Government’s system lifecycle methodology, supporting transparency and maintainability

What you need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 8–10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with 6–8 years in software development or a related field
  • Strong front-end skills, including proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, and JSON
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, to build and deploy scalable applications
  • Expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, Angular, and React
  • Solid command of SQL and database technologies
  • Extensive experience with JEE Web Tier technologies such as Servlets, Struts, and Spring MVC
  • In-depth knowledge of Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) and messaging systems using JMS
  • Proven experience designing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services
  • Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments and with associated tooling
  • Proficient with JEE servers like Spring Boot, Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere
  • Strong background in database connectivity technologies, including JDBC, JPA, and Hibernate
  • At least 7 years of hands-on Java JEE development experience
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and developing microservices architectures
