Description

ABOUT US

TSB Communications is a multidisciplinary technology company delivering SaaS solutions for healthcare, media, and enterprise clients. We are currently working with a major health authority to develop a public health scheduling platform that will manage patient appointments across services such as immunizations, dental, medication, speech/audiology, and more.
We are seeking a Full-Stack Developer with integration experience to help us design and build this next-generation healthcare scheduling platform. This is an opportunity to work on a high-impact system that will be used by thousands of patients and hundreds of staff across British Columbia.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will join our core product team to design, develop, and deploy a multi-site, multi-service scheduling platform. The role includes building core scheduling features, admin tools, patient-facing flows, and integrating with existing EMR systems using FHIR, HL7, and API management tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain scalable scheduling features (multi-site, multi-service) using modern frameworks.
  • Build secure APIs (REST/FHIR) for integration with EMRs and public health registries.
  • Work with interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect) to translate between FHIR JSON and HL7 v2 messages.
  • Implement authentication/authorization (OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS) and ensure compliance with healthcare security standards (HIPAA/PHIPA/PIPEDA).
  • Collaborate with product and healthcare stakeholders to refine requirements and design solutions.
  • Support QA, performance testing, and deployment across DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and handover for long-term support.
